Hi Kim, thanks again for another great feedback on the 'Happy Holly-days!' submission. I removed the exclamation - I agree it was looking like an 'i' :). For the layout, I loved both the one with the picture on the side and also the one based on your feedback. It was a tough choice, and I finally just went with the polls. Thanks once again! Thank you for the feedback! I was actually just going to edit for a full bleed cuz the cross in the T extends beyond the photo and I had to outline/modify it so it didn’t. So it wouldn’t be very flexible for custom type. Great minds think alike! Thank you for confirming my thoughts. Sounds like a good plan!

Hi Kim, Thank you so much for your comments!! I did what you suggested, however I feel like I lost the balance of the white space that was created by the top left side and the bottom right side. Nonetheless to address the issue of not distracting from the quote I tried a couple of other options. One option that is exactly what you asked, one that brings the copy under celebration, another that tries to blend the Avenir next copy with the emmascript. I am going to create a poll to see what people think.

Kim, thanks for much for your info on the formatting required when submitting artwork. I am thinking I need to find and to ask a Corel expert . . . I seem to remember from my graphic artist days some years ago before I retired that you can save a Corel file as an ai illustrator file but I am not sure if the layers remain intact making it possible to edit the text layer(s). Maybe I can find a Corel geek on google somewhere who can tell me.
