What to Include on Your Wedding Website
Your wedding website is a convenient way to give guests easy access to all the information they need about where and when your wedding will be. Not sure what to put on your wedding website? Here's a rundown of everything you'll need.
1. Welcome message and photo
Share a favorite photo (or two!) of yourselves and let guests know how excited you are to celebrate with them.
2. Wedding details
Be sure these important wedding details are prominently displayed on the main page so guests won't miss it.
Believe it or not, your family members may or may not know how to spell your partner's name and vice versa, so be sure your names are clearly displayed on your wedding website in an easy-to-read font.
This is probably the most important detail guests will be looking for, so you'll want the wedding date prominently listed on the main page.
Don’t forget to include the time of the wedding. It might also be helpful to list the ceremony start time and reception start time, especially if there is a break in between events.
Include addresses for both your ceremony and reception venues, if they're being held in different locations. It's also a good idea to list the city and state of your wedding for any out-of-town guests who might be looking for those details.
3. Schedule of events
Share details on all of your wedding-weekend events: pre-wedding festivities (perhaps a welcome dinner or welcome drinks), day-of (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, after party), and post-wedding (morning-after brunch, farewell luncheon, etc.). However, only list the wedding events that are open to all guests to avoid any unexpected drop-ins. You'll want to include location names, addresses, and start times for each event, along with any appropriate dress codes, if necessary.
