Thanks so much for the suggestions, and the like, on "naturally" Sam! I had tried something centered (I agree that is the way to go), but the problem I couldn't resolve was working out a solution for both long and short family names :( I'm going to keep thinking on a way for it to work – I do appreciate someone prodding me to keep at it :)

I was somewhat struggling with that design from the very start,I also planned to have it in different gem shapes other than a diamond,since the diamond shape itself is very tricky to use... I remember one of my design teachers telling our class, when you think you are done, shrink everything by 10%, haha! Need to go back to that advice!
