Erin Niehenke is dedicated to creating bright and beautiful designs. Art and typography have been a passion of Erin’s since childhood. Although she earned her degree and worked for several years in mechanical engineering, her search for a creative outlet never ceased. She returned to her artistic roots after her children, Clara and Virginia, were born. Erin aims to brighten the lives of others through her illustrations and designs.

Hey thanks for your feedback this morning on my "happiest holidays" design. You were so right- it was too busy (the first version was too boring, and I swung the pendulum too far the other way! haha). Hopefully I've got a better balance now! I appreciate your help!

Hi Erin, thanks so much for the lovely feedback. It's not out of line at all! This design has been such a headache because of course the more elements there are the more design choices there are. I added the detail to the nest to add a bit of texture but that is impossible to do with a lot of the illustrations given their size. I will see if I can come up with a middle ground:)

hey Erin - thanks for your comment! I did mean to submit them there, as I envisioned those two images as being great for save the dates - sorry if you don't like them. In general, I do mostly submit to art challenges, though (at least I will - I'm just starting on here! Great work, btw.

Hi Erin! Thank you so much for your suggestions with the Sweet Love design! I ended up going with the yellow. :) The last name is actually Givens - haha! I definitely see what you're saying though. Maybe the image was too small to see the dot over the "i" during the poll? I'm not sure. I just ended up changing the last name to Owens so it reads better for the sample. Thanks again!

Hi Erin, I like your bunny invite the way it is actually! The classic serif font you used for the title goes well with the story book style of your illustration. My 2 cents is to maybe reduce the size of the small text to add contrast, and maybe use Mrs. Eaves? But it looks really nice already!
