Hi, Christine! I love your designs! You're not far from me at all; I'm in Mobile, AL :) It's nice to find another Mintie along the Gulf Coast. Congrats on your holiday win!
I wanted to send you an extra special thank you for your helpful comment with one of my kids stationery entries from last year that I did not have time to implement. I update dated the design for this year's kids stationery challenge with your suggestion to change the copy to 'greetings from jason' and that clinched the win. I appreciate your help, thanks!
Hi Christine, congratulations on your first win for your lovely xmas card. May your sales be super! Cheers, -R
Hi Christine, thanks for the congrats. The jury pick only took 129 entries to get it right. =:-o
Hi Christine, Minted has started a FB page for the designers. Here is how you sign up (see link). Cheers, Robin http://www.minted.com/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=1389&page=1#Item_1
Hi Christine, thanks for your support and feedback. I will be working on refining my designs this week with some new ones to come. I am still getting used to the Minted design process and trying not to let it throw me off. I am trying to develop designs that are more appealing and mainstream but I will still keep submitting work that means something to me, I can't always worry about the voting. Have a great weekend! -R
I love the new grown up photo of you, even though the image of you as a child was cute, the new image is cuter! :D
C, I know how you feel, trying to work around other commitments and design for the Minted challenges gets to be a bit much. Good luck with potty training, that sounds like 'fun'. Send me a link to your online shop when it is ready, I would love to see it. And have a good time preparing for the craft fair! I am going to take a few days off from Minted to deal with family, I need some distance from designing. Have a wonderful holiday weekend. Cheers, -R
Hi Christine, thanks for the Font Squirrel tip, I needed the reminder. I have been to this site before and found some free fonts but I often get directed to Fontspring.com and another round of some free and some pay for fonts – and so the search goes on. I have not been able to find a free source for Bergamont, Papercute or Coquette any tips on where to find theses fonts for free? Thanks, Robin
Hi Christine! Thanks for your comments, they are helpful. I have found the limitations of the Minted font requirements interesting. Another out of my comfort zone issue. I have thousands and thousands of postscript fonts but not many of the Minted fonts so I have been on a mission to find them and use them. Geez some of them are not my style at all! If you need any of the Minted fonts, let me know and I can email them to you if I have them. Cheers, Robin
Hello, I just wanted to let you know that if I am giving you too much feedback please let me know and I will back off. I like your work and thought process plus the freshness. I only want to help – please feel free to comment on my work, I find designing for the Minted community a bit odd and I am totally out of comfort zone and off balance and could use the feedback. Cheers, Robin :D
