About Avila Arts

Kristin grew up in a family surrounded by artists and aspired to be one at a young age. She studied graphic arts at Cal Poly State University where she received a B.S. degree in Graphic Communication. She loves simple, understated art and is inspired by classics from Rembrandt and Picasso to Rothko, and Motherwell. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, and four chickens in Los Altos, Santa Cruz, or San Luis Obispo, where she often vacations.
