About the work

This bohemian folk style bird was inspired by a friend of mine, whom after seeing me post several floral paints and doodles on instagram, told me that she loved birds and asked me if I ever painted birds. Birds haven't ever been something I'm prone to draw or paint, but I decided to try something new that day and give it a go. And voila!!!! It was honestly something that I surprisingly enjoyed, go figure!

    Hey, I'm Jen (nice to meet ya!). I lovvvve to draw whimsical florals and play around with unexpected color palettes. I've also recently begun to experiment with hand-lettering and it's a new found love of mine. When I'm not working on my art, I enjoy playing board games and card games, exploring antique malls, hanging out with family and friends, and date nights with my husband. We're blessed with two incredible, talented, fun-loving kids.
