About the work

Growing up in a rural area, I always loved walking to a beautiful meadow just a short distance from our childhood home. The meadow was rich and lush, filled with wildflowers and ever-changing colors throughout the seasons. I believe everyone has a place like this in their childhood - be it a physical space or a memory of vivid happiness. The abstract, bold brush strokes and lively colours in this painting are inspired by those special places we all have, and are intended to revive the feelings of calm excitement and tranquil joy that can be felt in those special spaces and memories.
