About the work

This work is inspired by converging train tracks. I often ride the subway and railroad here in New York City and am always amazed by the complexity of the laid rails. The preciseness with which they were considered and constructed is simply awe-inspiring. This print is a simple depiction of the very complex and vast rail system. I hope this piece brings a bit of simple beauty into your home and reminds you of elements in your life that cross and converge.

    Christine Llewellyn is a New York City based surface pattern and product designer. Christine's designs are characterized by their playful yet elegant hand drawn motifs and modern, minimalist pattern composition. Christine received her MBA from the University of Michigan and worked in marketing before leaving to follow her passion for all things design. She completed her Master of Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and launched Christine Joy Design shortly after.
