About the work
Upon moving to my new city of Chicago I wanted to usher in my new home by getting to know the neighborhoods, and handlettering them was the best way to do it! Piecing together letterforms to create a word in calligraphy is reminiscent of how neighborhoods piece together to form a city, and I hope this calligraphed print will appeal to everyone whose heart lies in the Windy City.
