About the work

Buying fresh flowers at my local market is one of my favorite things to do. I take them home, put them in fresh water in a simple mason jar, & i sketch my idea strait onto canvas with a brush. I look for dark contrasts between petals, the transparency of the water, & the luminescence of light through water.
