About the work
Since I was small and wandered the shores searching for shells and hoping to see a starfish, they have been fascinating creatures for me. Starfish were the inspiration for this painting that has been overdrawn in bright pastels to bring out the color of the starfish and the shimmering sea water. This work is one of two for a companion piece if desired.
