About the work

This hand-drawn map of Portland, Oregon features some of the city's best-loved landmarks, including famous architecture, natural features, and unique cultural activities. It is one of a series of similarly illustrated maps of cities and parks in the United States. All maps were illustrated with a pointed-pen calligraphy nib and sumi ink, then carefully colored to reflect the unique culture of the city.
