About the work
4x-CWF is the registration code of a Cessna 172RG Cutlass RG II airplane. I was photographing in and around the renovated Tel Aviv harbor, located north of the city. The Cessna plane was hovering overheard about to land at the small airport of Sde Dov. I tried to capture the feeling of the rush and speed as it passed so close to the ground.

To paraphrase the description of the great American photographer Sam Abell, my style of photography is documentary in the sense that I record the world as it is, however, it has transcendent qualities that start at the documentary level, yet open to interpretation on an aesthetic level as well. I am inspired by the natural world and especially by the seas and oceans.
