About the work

Music is important in my family. My children all play an instrument. My twin boys play the ukulele and my oldest son plays the piano. I was inspired watching my children practice their music one day after school. We always have ukulele picks laying around all over the house making it hard to pick the perfect one. The linocut printmaking method used to make this piece is meant to give a vintage look symbolizing the nostalgic feeling that music can evoke.
