About the work

I love the intricacy of drawing complex images, and this fossil I sketched from a museum visit and later translated into a woodcut took many hours of work to get all the details right. The imperfection of the woodcut print works well with the subject matter here, adding texture and bringing the feeling of the ancient bones to life.
