About the work

My dad was an engineer and Isaac Newton was his hero, so I grew hearing all about theoretical physics. I think this planted seeds early on that boundaries can be pushed, pulled, and reshaped. This pair of photographs feature the same weathered round chunk of granite shot from different angles and then flipped to create tension. I used a minimalist approach to reduce distraction and play up the visceral affect of the pair. One of two available in three color options.
