About the work

"Primarily" takes my three favorite colors—the primaries—and weaves them together in a rigid, yet organic way. A putty knife was used to generously apply and carve each layer with simple strokes. First laying down the light, followed by the dark, bold colors to frame the composition—aiming for organic balance.
