Growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii, I've always had an appreciation for the magic of the sea. This design captures the colors of the California coastline. I created a graphic design of the California coast. The muted pastel tones mimic the afternoon light as it hits the ocean and reflects upon the hills and sky above. I call it California Dreaming.

Growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of a surf legend, Paul Strauch Jr. I spent my childhood playing in the sand and deep in the ocean. I feel myself by the sea. It gives me strength, serenity and fills me with ideas and creativity. There is a quote by R.M. Drake that really captures who I am as a beach photographer, ‘She smiled at the ocean because the waves told her story.’
