About the work

It's inevitable that my design background would begin to surface in my paintings and vice versa. This watercolor painting was inspired by the hand-lettering work I've been doing over the last year. I spent years exploring hand writing and flourishes on Birthday cards and letters—I never realized it would actually influence my style. It has become part of who I am as a designer and artist.

After working in the advertising and printing industry for nearly 9 years as a Graphic Designer and Creative Web Director she took a part-time position in the illustration field to pursue her passion as an artist. She is currently working in her third floor studio with her dog, Bruno. Her greatest inspirations come from her collection of memorabilia and the surrounding landscape of Northern Chester County, PA.
