About the work
Living in New Zealand, I am blessed to be surrounded by beautiful green hills and paddocks often dotted with sheep and cows. This piece was inspired by driving around the North Island and being mesmerised by the intensity of colour the rain in the winter months can produce in the countryside hills. The uneven extreme hillsides are begging to be painted when the sunlight hits them.
