I love to experiment with different media and tools to explore color, texture, and composition. This abstract painting was inspired by the sky on a cloudy but sunny day. The dreamy quality leaves an ambiguity to the piece that allows the viewer to decide what they see in the piece, just as you would as a child staring up at the clouds as they move through the sky.

    about the artist

    byRebecca Rueth

    Arcadia, CA

Art has played a prominent role in Rebecca's life ever since childhood. A love for experimenting with a variety of media led her to earn her BFA from RISD. Her obsession with pattern and color compelled her to go on to study textile design at FIDM. She currently works as a freelance designer in Southern California, where she resides with her husband and daughter. Her work is inspired by her travels, art and architectural history, and finding the extraordinary in the everyday.
