About the work

Flowers are rich with history and meaning. The dahlia originates from Mexico, it used to be as valuable as a diamond, and it can bloom the size of a dinner plate. Dahlias have many meanings but I was drawn to "Grace." The radial petal design, along with the center glow, create a very mandala-like effect.
