About the work
Combining a love for printed material and the great outdoors, I created this art print with lots of layered textures, colors and natural forms to represent my artistic interpretation of a Swallowtail butterfly. Incorporating cut shapes from printed material, mixing colors and patterns, I was able to add depth and interest to my graphic rendering of nature's beautiful aeronaut. Swallowtail is a nice companion to Ulysses and Pyrrha, two of my other butterfly collage art prints.
