About the work

I have always wanted to live by the ocean, but I will settle for visiting from time to time. I painted this piece to take a piece of it back home with me after leaving my little slice of heaven. I use soft greens, blues and layers of loose gestural marks to capture the feelings, sights and sounds of the ocean.
