About the work
Inspired by geometric shapes, this piece is an exploration of pattern and color. I was intrigued by the facets of gemstones and was inspired to use watercolors to recreate a version of this in a simplified abstract pattern. Using a limited color palette, I enjoyed exploring the subtleties of the spectrum of shades in a single color.
