About the work
An energetic and colorful painting is the base for this multimedia collage. Large swaths of organic-shaped tissue paper contrast the small, dappled details within the painting. “Color frenzy” is both fearless and optimistic for me as it’s a departure from the usual restraint and tight compositions I typically create. The freedom of the circular forms within the painting challenged me to create a collage that overlays the bold painting while complimenting all of the forms in a visual frenzy.
