Every day I see the sea change, driving on highway 101. No matter how routine the errands of life, there is the ocean in her wild variations. Sometimes glossy, other times whipped into a frenzy, the water always has a different expression. I made this triptych in my rural studio on the coast, working with huge brushes and bright pastels in a flurry, hoping to capture some of that restless energy.
This seascape is part of a triptych - consider pairing it with Salt Kissed I and Salt Kissed II.
