About the work
This piece was inspired by the texture of coiled rope and symbology of a spiraling circle. The design was created while I was anxiously awaiting spring's arrival, thinking about the new beginnings that were in store. The spiral shape is found in many places in nature, and I have always been intrigued by their organic design.
