About the work
My tropical botanical photographs are inspired by my childhood in Florida, where I developed a love for all varieties of lush vegetation. I was especially taken with the stunning tones of this Banana tree as it glowed in morning sunlight. This print is part of a large collection of tropical photographs, and would look lovely displayed on its own or as part of a gallery.

Alicia fell in love with photography when she was gifted her first camera as a child. In 2005 she left her career in the non-profit world to pursue her creative dreams. "I strive to create photographs that evoke memories of our favorite days. My inspiration is found in memories of my grandparents garden, and boxes of old Polaroids. I lived my life in Michigan and Florida, surrounded by water and color, and am still greatly influenced by those two environments."
