Inspired by a dream, this is a falling out of the field of flowers during the super bloom in the springtime. *no flowers were harmed. Taken in an open space between the flowers I feel like the "future" is always connected to dreaming, right? I feel like this particular photo connected to the theme in my mind by, exactly as you said, falling through time, or another dimension. I've always been interested in the possibility of time travel, other dimensions, string theory, and things of that sort. So, I tend to have dreams based around those things. This photo is like one half of a person is stuck in one dimension and the other half is stuck in the dimension that we're seeing in the photo. It also mimics a flower or plant growing out of the soil. Hopefully that all makes a little sense, at least! This was photographed with a digital camera. Most of the time when the colors of a scene are a main focus for me, first, I like to style everything else around said colors in the scene, whether that's props, wardrobe, accessories, etc. When it comes to the editing portion of the process, I like to manipulate the luminance (brightness) of each color to a very dull level which, in my opinion, gives more of a hand-painted kind of look to the photo, akin to advertisements from the 50s and 60s. While the digital era is the current and future times, no doubt, I like to remove some of the digital or electronic "bite" that comes with digital photographs. It has more feeling to me when it's a bit softer and not so punchy.
