About the work

Inspired by the color of my newborn baby girl's eyes, which seem to shift daily between various hues of blue and grey. This delicate watercolor study captures many nuanced shades and colors seen throughout the natural world, like a bed of river stones, a slate roof, and of course, the eyes of a newborn.
