About the work
This slow growing Barrel Cactus lives in our front yard and soaks up the California sun. It grows very slowly so it has changed very little in the last six years that we have had it. It is fascinating to me that a living thing could change so little over time. I love the repetition of the spikes and how strong they are, protecting itself from sorts of lizards and other critters.
