About the work

This drawing is part of a series based on the graphic nature of crystals. Naomi creates detailed inkwork pieces often using thousands of tiny intricate lines, which together form an understated theme. Her line-work juxtaposes complexity against simplicity in each piece. Naomi's natural, organic results belie the complexities found within each work. Though the overall monochromatic effect is effortless, each piece can take hours to complete.
