I know what you mean, I felt the same way about a border I had on one of my holiday submissions. Go with your gut, but yes, I think it looks more focused and refined without. Best of luck to you!

Thanks from me, too, for your very helpful comment about color. It was boost to get the feeling of being on the right track. Your color management is far more sophisticated than what I was doing as a painter.

Hi Wendy, Thanks so much for your comment! I was wondering about a white background too and wondering if that was what Cecile meant :)... will try it out tonight. Yes, definitely going to change out both fonts. I was working on a different computer and didn't have all my fonts on hand :).

oh, the bracelet idea is cute! I was just hoping the design would let the parents know that the kids would be making things, and it could get messy - not a super, girlie princess party, if that makes any sense.

I just admire all you gals who do such beautiful florals! I'm an artist and can do a variety of techniques and mediums, but I can't seem to get ahold of the digital process for flora. It seems there is a lot of layering going on? I've drawn some and scanned and traced but the outlines are hard to work with. So frustrating ~ I need some lessons :o) Anyway, your designs always catch my eye, and I hope they catch Minted's and their customers eyes too. :o) Thx for the kind note

Yep, It's Melissa! I saw a bunch of Princess and the Pea designs too on the nursery challenge. It's kind of cool to see how different people interpret different ideas, and kind of fascinating that designers end up with the same idea inspiration also! Thanks Wendy for the helpful feedback! I've been playing around with the colors, and so far, I haven't had much luck. I think I've come to the conclusion that it is just too childlike to be used for a wedding, so I might actually just delete it. Maybe I'll try submitting it for the art challenge that starts next week! Thanks again for the feedback, I really appreciate it! :)

wendy, wish there was a button to click for a VERRRY helpful comment for your insight on the read of we heart baby -- thx so much! totally makes sense what you're saying that favoring simplicity/abstraction might be too risky to assume most/all/any :) customers and card recipient will read it the way we do. going to take a look at this, and thx to you and tolani for helping us to see the need for clarity. your (and all) suggestions are ALWAYS greatly appreciated!! we're new too, and just learning card by card and comment by comment. xo!
