Became a designer at age 5 when my mom commissioned me to draw a banana tree. Mother of 5, Grandma to 3. Graduated from BYU in Graphic Design. Obsessed with lettering, natural light photography, and simplicity in design and life.

Hi Jill! Thanks so much for your note. No, your design was not what I envisioned--it is so very much better! Wow! I am really honored that your amazing design skill accompanies my humble copy. One little thing: it seems a small typo crept in. The text on the front should read "unimaginably large." I thought you'd want to know so you'd be able to fix it before the deadline. And yes, Kristie is my wife. She told me this morning that she is a huge fan of your work, and confirmed my impression that I was very lucky to have you choose my copy. Like you, I also love her and think she is freaking amazing.

I'm no help at all either - totally torn :) Honestly I would replace the rejoice night sky with the red one and keep your original - I think it's the least strong of all your submissions - not that it isn't also gorgeous.

I had not read the special award details - thank you for the heads up! The design just doesn't work with two initials (I've tried because I know they sell better). I guess, maybe I should just delete it. Regardless, please know that your comments and suggestions are appreciated!!! I wasn't ignoring your advice, it just doesn't work with this design.

Hi, Jill! Thanks for your feedback on my design. I think double initials sell better, but, according to wedding etiquette I've read, a single initial (from the husband's last name) monogram is appropriate, but the couple's monogram (both first initials, with married last initial) is not. Minted actually has a couple of single initial monograms and couple's monograms for sale. I just assumed single sell better...either way that design concept really only works with the one initial and it scored well with consumers lat year, so I thought I'd give it one more try! Thanks for the advice, though!!!

Thanks, Jill for your comment. A question, though if you don't mind! When you say the blue band is competing w/ the wreath, do you mean the little blue band at the top, or the whole blue part? With just a solid color background the card didn't have enough going on. If you meant the whole blue part/background, not just the little one at the top, do you have any suggestions for me what else I should do? Thanks!

I'm so glad you mentioned that! When I looked at that design again with fresh eyes, I felt that it needed some of the letters to break through the grid, so I'm glad you thought the same way. Not that you need it, with the beautiful selection of holiday designs you've submitted, but best of luck in this challenge!

I just realized that I had a somewhat similar concept to your Naughty plus Nice design (my Calm And Bright design), but with a different saying/take on the photos and with a layout more similar to one of my existing graduation announcements. you are so nice and no! I'm betting you don't either...love your entries. ready for this challenge to be over so life can return to normal. Just dropped a pot of boiling water on my legs and stomach so after I submit the next and last design I am done!!! yikes- obviously need some sleep.
