This painting was inspired by lake in Glacier National Park on a cold and foggy winter day. Distant mountains are barely visible across the lake, and a line of dark trees sits in front of them, shrouded in fog. The green waters unique to Glacier are covered in ice and snow, and of course there is a big, dramatic sky.
