I originally painted this cheerful watercolor shark for a friend, who was looking for an undersea creature, that had a face, and looked happy, to hang in her son's room, which had a nautical theme. Sharks don't have to be menacing, and their big smiles can be so cheerful. So, this sweet shark fit the bill!

When I was a little girl, used to tell anyone who asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up that I wanted to be a "veterinarian with pictures all over the walls" but ultimately I'd rather wield a paintbrush than a scalpel!
