Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I mail invitations?

You should plan to order and send bridal shower invitations 2 months in advance. Include registry info or the theme to help guests choose a gift, and make sure you note anything else they should bring, such as photos, food, drinks, or letters for the guest of honor.

What are insert cards?

Designed to coordinate with and layer on top of Minted bridal shower invitations, insert cards can be used to request recipes, host display showers, gather advice for the bride, or detail gift registry information. Select a matching belly band to hold it all together and add the perfect finishing touch. Each insert card is fully customizable and printed on premium paper. Shop the full collection here.

What are game and activity cards?

They’re stationery that’s designed to entertain guests through interactive, personalized, and often keepsake-oriented activities or games. In some cases, guests are asked to complete certain cards in advance and bring with them.

Game and activity card types include bridal trivia, guess the dress, guess who, memories with the bride, over or under, what’s in your purse, and would she rather. Shop the full collection here.

Should I send insert cards in advance of the shower?

Certain types of cards—like recipe cards and marriage advice cards—can be sent with the invitation to allow guests time to write their answers in advance.

Game and activity cards can be sent in advance or distributed to guests at the shower to complete during their designated game or activity.

What’s the easiest way to obtain addresses from the bride?

Plan to coordinate with the bride/couple on the guest list. Ask them to share the guest addresses they have (they can download their Minted address book for you if they already have one), or work with the bridesmaids and other family members to obtain any missing addresses.

Should I share the bride’s wedding registry with guests?

If she has one, then yes! If you plan on hosting a display shower (in which guests bring gifts unwrapped), make sure it’s communicated with guests through an insert card.

How do I use free recipient addressing for my invitations?

You have a few options:

  • Use your Minted address book to gather addresses
  • Upload a spreadsheet of addresses. We accept these file types: .csv, .xls, .xlsx
  • Add addresses manually

Do you sell digital bridal shower invitations?

While we don’t currently offer online invitations specific to bridal showers, any of our designs can be customized into one. Explore our collection here.

What are novelty shapes, and how should I use them?

Novelty shapes are insert cards that are intended to be layered on top of—and mailed with—your invitations. They’re available in fun shapes like cowboy boot, martini glass, butterfly, seashell, and more. The idea is to have fun with these! You can choose to perfectly match them to your invitations or mix and match shapes and designs. Some include customizable text, and others are purely decorative. All novelty shapes are currently printed on our Signature Paper and are not available with letterpress or foil-pressed printing. Shop the full collection here.
