I painted this kangaroo in watercolor in mid-leap, capturing the strength in his long jumps, and his slightly cheeky expression. Inspired by my time living in Australia, where I was lucky enough to hang out with several kangaroos! Perfect for any animal lover, someone who loves nature, or a nursery with a variety of themes.

I'm Lauren: a NYer, traveler, lover of books, horses, dogs and painting. When I was a little girl, used to tell anyone who asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up that I wanted to be a "veterinarian with pictures all over the walls" but ultimately I'd rather wield a paintbrush than a scalpel! Watercolors are my medium of choice. I think it allows me to best capture the expressions of my subjects, and getting that face, those eyes, or little ears or curl of tail, just right. less
