I might be aging myself with this tidbit but there was a time when the TV would display a colorful graphic across the screen with a message NO SIGNAL. Which meant no TV programming at this time. There was an end to an endless stream. There was rest. There was time to divert our attention to other things. I have given up hope that one day we will go back to that.
