This is an abstract landscape painting of a magical lake and the house at the bottom of the mountain. I was inspired by the incredible life, colours and textures beneath the dark water. I created this piece using layers of various painted backgrounds and then used the etched crayon technique by adding a black layer on top of the coloured layer and gently and slowly erased the black to reveal the various shapes and colours of the mostly plant-life below.
