Part of the Drive Bye series, this painting focuses on the landscapes whizzing past me as I left Oklahoma after my high school reunion. Since my parents no longer live there, it was one of my last visits to my home state. One of the things you notice in Oklahoma is how RED the ground is. The red clay permeates the entire state, subtly influencing the hue of the ground and foliage. In this series, I took that influence a bit further and pulled that red up into the trees to really grab the attention.
