Magnetic #1 is directly inspired by the constant expansion and indefinite vastness of space. When imagining the possible realities within which we exist, I use my painting process to ground myself by making images of their potential appearance. This mixed media painting, ideally paired with Magnetic #2, invokes non-linear time, the concept of bodies living within bodies, and macro/micro themes. Spontaneous and energetic marks layered with ethereal color fields rouse a sense of mystery and the delicate balance between order and chaos.
