Part of a set, this zinnia field comes to life with bright circles of color and intricate lines. It was entirely hand-drawn, pen on paper, with no preliminary sketching. I believe this method of working is what gives it a freshness and liveliness. The drawing was inspired by my garden sketchbook. Over the course of a year, I sketched pollinator-friendly plants as they appeared in my garden.
