This landscape was inspired by the Konza Prairie, a vast native tallgrass prairie in Kansas that is part of the Flint Hills region. It's a unique landscape of unplowed prairie, and for me it's the scenery of my childhood. This work was created using a gel plate for the blocks of color and pen for the drawing of grasses.
