This painting was painted mostly outside in the summer of 2021. It was a time during the pandemic so being stuck home I did a lot of experimenting with oils. I wanted to get the surface thick with texture like frosting on a cake. I loved this painting and was happy it went to a very special client. - Teo Guererra

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting.
