I love to paint mountains and expansive landscapes that I get to see on our family road trips, but sadly, I don't have any of that where I live. What I do have are a lot of forest preserves, lakes, and trees. I decided to embrace that flat landscape of the Midwest and paint a grass and wildflower field at dusk. This is inspired by a local nature center that I visit often.
