My favourite things in life and art are: cats, colour, pattern and flowers or any combination thereof. This acrylic painting is of my handsome tuxedo cat Barry who keeps me company daily in my studio. In this painting he's posing with a small bouquet of pink tulips. The fairly limited palette of dusty green and pink contrasts with Barry's black and white coat. I love the repetition of the same pattern on the vase, background and foreground.
