San Francisco has so much character and a variety of distinctive neighborhoods. I set out to create a whimsical map showing each of the neighborhood names in whimsical bouncy hand-lettering. I began by researching the neighborhood maps of the city, drew the outlines and then created the lettering over the shapes. The texture was added to give the design a slight retro vibe and another layer of interest.
